Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) pacer Digvesh Singh Rathi has been suspended for one match and fined 50% of his match fee following a heated on-field altercation with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) opener Abhishek Sharma during their recent IPL 2025 fixture at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow.
The confrontation unfolded after Rathi dismissed a blazing Abhishek Sharma—who had smashed 59 off just 20 balls—and celebrated with his trademark “notebook” gesture. The animated send-off triggered a visibly angry reaction from the SRH batter, sparking a verbal exchange between the two. On-field umpires and teammates quickly intervened to separate the players, but tensions flared again during the post-match handshake.
